This Privacy Policy explains how GooseMind LLC (“GooseMind”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our websites, applications, and services, including OpenGoose (the “Service”). We are the controller of your personal information for the purposes of this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — such as your name, email address, and authentication details when you create an account.
- Billing information — when you subscribe, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and processes your payment details. We receive limited information such as the last four digits of your card, card brand, and billing status. We do not store full card numbers.
- Content you create — the chats, notes, documents, code, and messages you create or upload in the Service (“Your Content”).
- Usage and device data — such as app and feature usage, log data, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type, and diagnostics, used to operate and improve the Service.
- Support communications — information you provide when you contact us.
2. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- To process subscriptions, payments, and renewals;
- To route your prompts to the model providers you choose and return their responses;
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests;
- To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms;
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. AI models and your prompts
When you use GooseMind Cloud, the prompts and context you submit are transmitted to the third-party model providers needed to generate a response. When you bring your own API keys, requests are sent to those providers under your own accounts. Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy policies. We do not use Your Content to train our own models.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers who help us operate the Service — for example, Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting and content delivery), and our authentication and database providers — under contracts that limit their use of the data.
- With AI model providers you choose to use, as described above.
- For legal reasons — to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of GooseMind, our users, or others.
- In a business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service and remember your preferences, and we may use privacy- respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion as described below.
7. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any incident.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, and residents of the EEA and UK have rights under the GDPR. To exercise any of these rights, email support@goosemind.ai. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9. International data transfers
We are based in the United States and may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers of personal information.
10. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice of material changes.
